Counseling Non-Monogamous Clients 6 CEU's

About

Many non-monogamous individuals are not receiving quality mental health care or relationship counseling because of valid fears regarding professional bias and condemnation of their lifestyle choices. Polyamory and consensual non-monogamy is a valid relationship style that has increased in popularity. Many people are choosing alternatives to the traditional monogamous relationship. For some, these other options can bring more freedom, more love, and fulfillment, yet many others are still learning how to do so consciously and how to manage issues like jealousy, agreements, boundaries, and more. Now more than ever, counselors have an ethical obligation to understand, explore, and address the unique needs of this population. This course will include an exploration of monogamy in Western societies and provide therapists with information vital to supporting non-monogamous clients. This course is approved for 6 CEU’s for Oklahoma LPC's. Check with your state board to see if this course qualifies for education credits. Student and Non-CEU pricing available!
