Adult Autism & ADHD Assessments
Now providing neurodiversity affirming assessments for high masking adults wanting to discover their neurotype.
-
We focus on assessments for late-diagnosed adults who are likely to be misdiagnosed or missed entirely.
-
This evaluation is not a full psychological battery or neuropsychological testing.

Have you found yourself wondering,
“Am I autistic?” or "Do I have ADHD?"
-
Has your TikTok, Instagram, or another social media platform been serving you autism-related content and it has made you wonder about yourself?
-
Have you received multiple diagnoses and none have seemed to explain the complexity, and sometimes contradictions, of your lived experience?
-
Have you had chronic mental and/or physical health struggles that don't seem to respond to typical medications or interventions?
-
Do you have a family member or child who has been diagnosed with autism or ADHD?
-
Are you a former 'gifted and talented' student who used their high IQ to compensate until the demands of life in college, in the workforce, and/or becoming a parent exceeded your capacity?
-
Tired of feeling exhausted after seemingly normal social or sensory experiences?
-
Want to learn more about your inner wiring and why you may feel so out-of-sync with others?
Why get an assessment now?
-
Autism presentation and lived experience is individual and can very from person to person, making it difficult at times to trust your own thoughts regarding self-diagnosis. Other benefits of seeking out an autism assessment as an adult can include:
-
Self understanding (and compassion). Autism diagnosis later in life can help you connect the dots of your past experiences throughout your life and understand what made it so difficult to socialize, keep up with the demands of life, and why therapy and medication never seemed to help before.
-
Adequate professional support. Therapy interventions and workplaces that are created for allistic individuals may not be helpful for neurodiverse people, and often worse. An autism and/or ADHD diagnosis and recommendations can help you to find accurate support and to advocate for accommodations that best meet your needs.
-
Community. It is so much easier to find your people when you are looking among those who are understanding of your differences because they share them!
-
While we provide assessments for all adults, women (or those socialized as female), gifted & talented, trans, and BIPOC individuals can have traits of autism that are commonly overlooked or misunderstood by the mainstream culture (including mental health), and we have a particular interest in serving these populations.
Assessment Options
Adult assessments are not covered by insurance, and are a significant financial investment. A comprehensive evalaution by a psychiatrist or psychologist can cost up to $2000. Given how financially inaccessible evaluations can be, I provide specific assessments for high masking adults that are not comprehensive psychological or neuropsychological evaluations. A minimum of 5-6 hours is spent completing the average autism assessment, while it takes 8-9 hours for a combined assessment.
A general breakdown of the cost for the assessments includes:
-
1-2 hours of evaluator time in administrative time including setting up the client chart, sending all documents, forms, and assessments, and analyzing & organizing the information gathered from the client
-
90-minutes of telehealth diagnostic interview with client (2 90-minute sessions for the combined assessment)
-
1-2 hours of report and recommendation compiling and writing (more for the combined assessment)
-
30-minute telehealth feedback session with client to review outcomes and recommendations and answer any questions
