Kink, BDSM and other alternative lifestyles are areas unfamiliar to most therapists, even many sex therapists. This course will help clinicians move from merely “Kink Affirming” or “Kink Aware" to more fully “Kink Conscious.” Topics include: *kink/bdsm as a clinical competency *common myths and misperceptions *kink/bdsm as healing practices *kink-conscious assessments and treatment considerations *kink/bdsm safety and consent practices.
